Glenda Perez, CISR
Office Administrator

Glenda has a total of over 35 years experience in the insurance industry-- the last 28 of which has been within the realm of an independent insurance agency. She joined Sweeney and Sweeney Insurance Services in 1994 when John and Gigi Sweeney purchased a local Paradise agency that Glenda had been employed with since 1979. As one of her goals to provide service excellence, she obtained her Certified Insurance Service Representative designation in 1999. Glenda's continuing goal is to make sure our agency continues to provide "service above and beyond" so that Sweeney and Sweeney Insurance Services will remain the leader it is today.

One of Glenda's enjoyment's in life is spending time on the Northern California Coast with her husband and family and traveling in their motorhome. Being a local native and from a family that settled the area in 1925, she thoroughly enjoys exploring all of the recreational opportunities and the beauty of northern California.

Tina Dukes
Systems Administrator
Agency Support

In 2001, Tina joined Sweeney and Sweeney Insurance. Tina started out as a receptionist and then quickly advanced in the agency to become familiar with all the different aspects and detailed workings of each department. She currently provides customer support to our commercial lines department as well as support to office management, oversee's the Receptionist position, and is integral to the upkeep and management of our agency computer system.

Tina was born on the coast of Ventura County and moved to Calaveras County at a young age. Growing up in "Mark Twain" country, Tina had the opportunity to explore the history that's within our beautiful state. Tina moved to Northern California in 1997 where she now calls Chico home. While raising her four children and taking care of 2 dogs and a cat, her family still finds the time to enjoy the many beautiful areas of Northern California.

Vance Willison
Agent

Vance Willison has been an insurance agent since 1996. He has worked as an independent agent at Sweeney & Sweeney Insurance since 1999. Before that time he was manager of a large retail department store.

Vance has lived in Magalia and his family had run a restaurant for the past 21 years. He moved here from Orange County in 1980 where he was also an independent insurance agent.

He has experience in all types of commercial and personal insurance and is able to meet whatever insurance needs you may have, including life insurance.

Carl Peterson, AFIS
Agent

Carl started with Sweeney & Sweeney Insurance in April of 2007. A Chico native and father, he brings with him 18 years of insurance experience including the designation of Accredited Farm Insurance Specialist.

Carl's focus is in Commercial Insurance including Workers. Compensation, Property & Casualty. His expertice includes agriculture, construction, manufacturing, habitutional and wholesale distributors.

Phyllis Merck, AAI
Commercial Lines Manager,
Customer Service Agent

Phyllis entered the insurance industry 1981, as a commercial lines customer service agent with a local independent insurance agency. Her employment in insurance has been continuous and education has been ongoing for the last 26 years. She received the designation as Accredited Adviser in Insurance, AAI, in 2004. Phyllis has taken great pride in her ability to assist new agents and account managers to become familiar with the various coverage's and insurance markets. Her goal is to continue to provide exemplary service to her clients as well as maintaining the trusting relationships she has maintained with the various insurance underwriters throughout the years. She joined Sweeney & Sweeney Insurance Services in January of 2006 and is happy to be a part of an outstanding agency.

Phyllis was fortunate to have been born, raised and educated in Chico, CA. She enjoys the beautiful outdoors that Northern California provides.

Tonya Ranier
Clerical Support

Tonya has been with Sweeney & Sweeney Insurance since February 2003 and worked in the Paradise office as the receptionist. She then moved to customer service and really enjoyed helping our insured's with all their insurance needs. Now in the Chico office, Tonya will help with your billing questions and is our claims liaison for our personal lines department. She is friendly, efficient, and will always greet you with a smile.

Tonya, born and raised in Paradise, enjoys the many outdoor activities that this area has to offer. She especially enjoys the scenic drive up Hwy 70 towards Quincy with the many campgrounds and swimming spots on the river.

Cheryl Benjamin
Life & Health Department Manager

Cheryl has worked in the insurance industry since 1989. She handles the Customer Service work for our Employee Benefits and Life clients.

Cheryl is happy to help you deal with Claim, Premium, or Benefits issues that arise in any of these product lines.

Our practice is to review your Group Health insurance on an annual basis to ensure that you are getting the best rate/benefit package possible. Cheryl can also check in with you periodically to ensure that you plan is working well. If your business does not have a Benefits Administrator, Cheryl will also assist in the enrollment and administrative details of your plan.
