Life FAQS
Q. What are the advantages to using an agent to purchase insurance?
A: Insurance agents provide personalized service. We are here to help you choose insurance plans and policies that fit your specific needs. We research and compare the options for you, and we explain your policies and answer your questions. We are your voice and advocate if you have claim or billing issues. The best part is we work for you, not the insurance companies, so our services are always free to you!
Q. How much life insurance should an individual own?
A: Several factors need to be considered when determining the right amount of life insurance for you and your family. A few of these factors are:
· Income (sources and amounts)
· The number of individuals who are financially dependent upon you
· What are your financial obligations? (i.e. mortgage payment, education funds/loans, vehicle payments, estate planning need, etc).
Determining the correct amount of life insurance is not as simple as it may appear. We recommend contacting us for help determining the right amount of coverage. We are independent, unbiased advisors who are here to help you find appropriate coverage, help you avoid paying too much, and help you find a policy that best suits your needs.
Q. What is the difference between "Term" Life insurance and "Permanent" Life insurance?
A: Term policies provide life insurance for a specified period of time. This period could be as short as one year or as long as 10, 20, or 30 years. If you die during the term period, the insurance company will pay the face value death benefit to your beneficiary. However, if you live beyond the term period you selected, no benefit is payable. Permanent policies are designed to provide life insurance coverage for your entire lifetime. Permanent policies often have additional benefits such as cash value that you can borrow from, tax benefits, and even waiver of your premium payments. Due to the complex nature of these benefits we recommend you contact us for help determining which type of life insurance policy will best suit your needs. |
