- Approach potential clients by utilizing mailings, phone solicitation, and drop-ins.
- Determine clients' particular needs and financial situations by scheduling fact-finding appointments; determining extent of present coverage and investments; ascertaining long-term goals; and evaluating the potential of a working relationship with our agency.
- Develop a coordinated protection plan by calculating and quoting rates for immediate coverage action, as well as long-term strategy implementation.
- Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
- Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
- Enhance staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of strategies, answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members, teaching improved processes, and mentoring team members.

Social Media Internship Job Description
Title: Social Media and Internet Marketing Intern
Level: Internship (P/T employment) – Marketing, social media & branding
Responsibilities: This position is responsible for increasing our brand awareness, driving internet traffic, and increasing quote activity within an assigned territory:
- Utilize word of mouth marketing, Internet marketing, and Internet marketing techniques to increase traffic, brand awareness, and requests for insurance quotes.
- Leverage social networks to strengthen relationships with existing clients and increase the number of impressions on potential clients
- Utilize Blogging, SEO, social networking, and backlink building to raise our web presence and placement on web searches within the assigned territory.
- Increase the number of clients and prospects with offerings on our "Partners Page"
- Raise awareness for multilingual services
- Integrate social web presence with office functions so it is streamlined, optimized and consistent
- Other activities as assigned by manager.
Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the office manager(s) and secondarily to the agency owner.
Key Performance Metrics:
- Increase the number of requests for quotes from prospects in the assigned territory.
- Measure results within our VPC system.
- Optimize our Web Site Search Position
- Measured by Getlisted.org dashboard and key word search rankings.
- Increase the number of clients utilizing and joining the Partners Page
- Increase the number of client connections on social networks
- Measured by number of actual contacts and activity on social network sites.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong understanding of Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, video production, online community building and blogging for SEO
- Solid understanding of the internet and social media marketing best practices

Personal Lines Account Manager
Sweeney & Sweeney needs a top-notch Personal Lines Account Manager! We're currently looking for a highly motivated, sales-oriented team player to provide 6-Star service to new and renewal clients. Here's a list of our "Must Haves" for the right person:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and organization skills.
- Technical experience in Personal Lines coverage, products, and programs
- Strong computing (PC) usage and interfacing experience.
- Holds current Fire & Casualty license
- Must have experience with FSC Rater
If you meet the above requirements, keep reading for a snapshot of what you'll actually do:
- Provide customer service on all assigned personal lines accounts, including marketing and placement of all new business and the efficient re-marketing and renewal of accounts assigned.
- Perform cross-sell and account-rounding activities on existing personal lines accounts.
- Generate complete and accurate underwriting information on all accounts assigned.
- Check policies, endorsements, audits and other policy documents for accuracy and efficiency.
- Work with agency producers and staff to provide service and support on personal lines accounts assigned.
- Handle and process mail, order new/renewal coverage and policies, order and review MVR's, process invoices as needed, and ensure binders, certificates and all correspondence is handled in a timely, effective and efficient manner.
- Computer processing includes: input client information, policy information, updating data and interface with select carriers. Follow automation procedures.
- Work with Claims representative when necessary and requested.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with carriers, marketing reps, underwriters, and your Sweeney Teammates!
- Maintain an active and current Department of Insurance License and meet continuing education requirements.
